So Cal Union FC was established in 2016 as a Women’s WPSL Team to compete in its inaugural season in Summer 2018.

So Cal Union FC Women’s Team is mostly compromised of high level current collegiate players who play all over the country. A smaller percentage of our team is comprised of Former Collegiate Players and Former Professional Players.

So Cal Union FC is proud to be able to say that we consistently see 1-3 players each year from our women’s side go on to sign professional contracts in the states or abroad. We have players who have played and/or are playing in Denmark, Iceland, Spain, Australia, Puerto Rico, USA and more. We also have currently or have had in the past players who are representing their National Team Programs in the USA, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Philippines, Canada, and others.

So Cal Union FC has completed 4 Seasons (2018, 2019, 2021, 2022) with the WPSL and will kickoff the 2023 WPSL season on May 26th. So Cal Union FC is owned and managed by Josh Fredrickson and the Coaching Staff is led by Rudy Canales.
